The Story: peppermint

The Story
The more albums Andy Faunch makes, the more we collaborate on the cover art for his works. This is something I totally understand and relish, because combining efforts can be really rewarding, and oftentimes turns out better material.

For his 2023 album, peppermint, Andy wanted a very simple cover, and a mostly WHITE one. At first I had considered doing something with a picture or some art involving one of those swirly red and white peppermints. Neat, right? No one has done THAT before!!! Haha. There’s only about a thousand album covers out there (maybe more!) with some iteration of a red and white peppermint on it (most of them totally lame, I gotta say). Glad I didn’t push for that.

Andy found a striped (pepperminty?…) font he liked, so I played around with that, giving it a green colorway for a cool minty feel, and then intertwined a cursive version of his faunch logo into the album titla. We placed them into the lower third of the otherwise all white cover, and we were... Done.
For the CD, I proposed a 'purple' version of the title, along with the logo in the mint green. Andy liked it. Done.
FINAL:
Yep. Done. /\/\
